Spicy Tuna Tartare (Heart of Palm)

Whenever I go out with friends to sushi they always order spicy tuna or tuna tar tar. I always look at it thinking, I wonder how that tastes? I wonder if I could recreate it… I’ve thought of so many ways I could make this but here is one idea I came up with using heart of palm. You can eat this with crackers, as a lettuce wrap, or throw it on top of a salad. It’s a great appetizer, lunch, or dinner idea.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbs Vegenaise
- 142g Hearts of Palm
- 2 Tsp Sriracha
- 1 Tsp Sesame Oil
- 1/4 Tsp Paprika
Optional
- Chives
- Avocado
- Crackers
- Lettuce
Directions
- Put the heart of palm into a blender or food processor and blend. You want the heart of palm to become one whole mixture but don’t over blend.
- Pour the mix into a bowl and add in the vegan mayo, Sriracha, sesame oil, and paprika. Mix all the ingredients together and then cool in the fridge or serve right away. (If you would like it to be spicier just add in more Sriracha and paprika.)
- Serve with avocado and/or chives and enjoy!
